A high-volume magnetic wireless charging mount program delivered for a US retail chain — from industrial design to retail-ready packaging.
The client
A US-based retail chain preparing a seasonal promotion for car accessories needed a magnetic wireless charging mount that could hit a sharp retail price point without sacrificing holding performance.
The challenge
Retail-grade packaging with planogram compliance; 15W fast wireless charging with foreign-object detection; a holding force strong enough for SUV dashboards; and delivery of the full quantity within 60 days to catch the promotion window.
Our solution
We adapted an existing wireless-charging platform to the buyer’s requirements, re-tooled the magnetic base for stronger retention, and developed a two-piece retail package with window display. Engineering samples were approved on the second iteration.
The result
The full order was produced, inspected (AQL 2.5) and shipped ahead of schedule. The program re-ordered the following season, and the model became a catalog item for the chain.
